Hull Cleaning

Cleaning all components of a vessel from the waterline below.

Why does your vessel require hull cleanings?

Hull cleanings are a critical part of vessel maintenance across the state of Florida.  Unlike many other parts of the country, the Gulf of Mexico waters are very warm, shallow, and nutrient rich.  Due to this, the marine growth we encounter in Florida is some of the heaviest in the United States.  All vessels remaining in our local waters must have anti-fouling paint present to combat our heavy marine growth. Vessels left in the water without anti-fouling paint will suffer from rapid fiberglass, gelcoat, and drive damage.

Regimented hull cleanings ensure anti-fouling paint longevity, ideal vessel performance, and allow for vessel owners to operate their vessel at any time without the worry of propulsion loss, engine overheating, and many other issues created by rapid marine fouling.

During all routine hull cleaning services, our team inspects vessel anodes, hardware, and all other underwater components to ensure each vessel is in good working order.  Anode maintenance is one of the critical parts to our hull cleaning services.  More detailed information on anodes is covered under our “Anodes” page.

Our “Comprehensive Video” is available for all underwater services we offer.  This video keeps a running record of a vessel’s underwater condition, while also allowing vessel owners to view the underside of their vessel. Our videos are an invaluable resource when troubleshooting damages or continued maintenance on vessels.
